George Kratzer

George Kratzer

George Kratzer has served as president of the Iron Workers District Council of Southern Ohio and Vicinity since July 31, 2000. He was appointed general vice president on July 16, 2001.

Kratzer started his ironworker career when he was initiated into Local 290, Dayton, Ohio on August 1, 1970. On April 1, 1973, he graduated to journeyman. He has been active in his local, serving as conductor, trustee and business manager. And he represented Local 290 on the Executive Committee of the Dayton Building and Construction Trades. Kratzer served as a trustee for the Iron Workers Benefit, Pension and Annuity Trusts, and as a member of the Iron Workers LU & DC Pension Plan Advisory Committee.
