An election was held for the position of general secretary, with Ron Piksa of Local 86 and Robert Calver of Local 725 nominated. The voting was conducted electronically and was opened for an hour at 10 a.m. The electronic ballot results were 625 votes for Ron Piksa and 129 votes for Rob Calver.
