National Welding Certification Program

Our National Welding Certification Program continues to increase in size and productivity. We now have 48 accredited test facilities located throughout the United States with an additional 3 awaiting accreditation. Now is the time to push forward and get as many of our ironworkers certified in the National Welding Certification Program as possible. More and more of our employers are realizing the credibility and significance of this highly regarded certification program, which is a cooperative endeavor between the Ironworkers International and the American Welding Society.

In an effort to increase efficiency the Program has begun work on a web-based certification processing system to replace the currently used database-based system. This web-based system will allow easy access for our Accredited Test Facilities to provide the necessary documentation to us for New Welder Certifications and result in cost savings to the Fund.

Below is a list of all our accredited facilities, as well as those awaiting certification. Please contact General Organizer Ed Abbott at (202) 383-4802 if you have any questions regarding the accreditation of your local union facility.
